This must be the month of introspection.
If you subscribe to Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster’s view, “love is a many-splendored thing,” and there are many ways to show it.
It’s good to find the thing which will make the person feel most loved and valued in whatever situation they find themselves, and then do that thing.
It’s also good to show love in ways other than the boombox gesture.
I have a love-hate relationship with technology and social media, but there’s no denying they make it just about easier than ever to communicate.
It takes seconds to say hello to someone, or tell them how you feel, whether they be across the room or across the world.
You can still put pen to paper, too, and by gum your 63 cents means the letter still stands a good chance of reaching the person for whom it’s intended.
I could go on a rant about a certain day of the year, but I might need something to write about next month.
There are plenty of ways to show love.
I guess my answer to today’s question is, “the best way I know how.”
