A lot of memories are linked to smell, and it’s all I can do not to give a food-related answer.

Instead, I’ll answer with a work-related answer.

My family used to raise chickens.

We had about 92,000 chickens at a time, split into five houses.

One of the jobs I sometimes did was pick up dead chickens.

I’d say that’s a memory linked to a smell.
