The calendar flips.

When something ends, something else often begins.

MY NEW GOAL for this month is to save money, which, as it turns out, will help me get closer to one of my older goals.

I have put about three nanoseconds of thought into this, and still come up with a non-financial way I’ll benefit from a month to save.

I think I might be a little more trim and healthy if I save for a month.

If I make a conscious effort to save money, I won’t be as tempted to stray from my diet.

I shouldn’t say diet if I want it to stick.

I guess it’s a lifestyle change.

Despite the fact I know how important it is for me to stay within a certain range so I can move easier, the struggle with weight has been part of my life for a while.

I guess the urge to save has also been a part of my life for years.

Since 1998, when I started a savings account, I’ve been a pretty good saver.

I think it’s important, because I never know when life will hand me a basket of lemons.

However, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve also been an impulse buyer on occasion.

Sometimes, I am a little less wise with money than I should be when the impulse to purchase hits.

It’s hit a lot this year, though not all on impulse, and it’s time to save again.

There are still goals I haven’t met, goals I’ll move closer to with a month to save.

Aside from those, it’s always good to be able to make lemonade when life hands out lemons.
